FAQs
What is a confirmation statement?
It’s an annual filing that confirms your company’s key details with Companies House. It replaced the old “annual return” and must be submitted at least once every 12 months.
Who needs to file a confirmation statement?
Every UK limited company and LLP must file one, even if the business is dormant.
When is it due?
You must file your confirmation statement within 14 days of the end of your “review period” (usually once a year from your company’s incorporation date).
What happens if I don’t file it?
Failure to file can lead to penalties, and Companies House can even strike your company off the register. We’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.
Can you file my statement if you’re not my regular accountant?
Yes — we can file your confirmation statement as a one-off service, even if you use another accountant for other work.
